Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

The short version: The Labeler doesn't collect your data. Your labels stay on your device. We count total prints anonymously to gauge whether the app is useful, but we don't know who you are or what you're printing.

What the App Collects

Nothing.

The Labeler processes everything on your device using Apple's on-device AI. Your voice input, label content, and printer settings never leave your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. There are no accounts to create, no cloud services to connect to, and no data to upload.

The Print Counter

The app keeps a running count of labels printed by all Labeler users. Here's exactly how it works:

You can verify this yourself. The counter API is open source: github.com/jonathanspiva/labeler-counter

Network Access

The app connects to your local network to communicate with your Zebra printer over TCP port 9100. This is a direct connection between your device and your printer. No data passes through our servers.

Analytics and Tracking

None. We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking service. We don't know how many users we have, how often you open the app, or which features you use. The print counter is our only metric.

Cookies

This website doesn't use cookies. The app doesn't use cookies. There's nothing to accept or reject.

Third Parties

We don't share data with third parties because we don't have data to share. The app is built entirely with Apple frameworks (Foundation Models, Network.framework) that process locally.

Children's Privacy

The Labeler doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children. There are no accounts, no profiles, and no way to identify individual users.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how the app handles data (we don't plan to), we'll update this page and note the changes here. The date at the top shows when the policy was last modified.
